Pensacola Reunion

Posted in [Uncategorized] By edeats@frontiernet.net
Shipmates! Our 14th reunion held in Pensacola, FL was spectacular! Bill Paschall did a great job coordinating the reunion. We had the first three Commanding Officers’ of the Nimitz, Admirals Compton, Gaskill and Batzler, the current CO Captain Paul Monger and our guest speaker was world renowned writer and shipmate Stephen Coontz! Please check out the next Newsletter as we will have a number of pictures from the reunion. If you missed the reunion you missed a great time!

The Association is looking for a Shipmate to step up and take on the office of Secretary/Treasurer. John Wilder agreed to a three month extension of his term as we did not have anyone to nominate in Pensacola. John has done an excellent job during his two terms and now we need to honor him with a replacement. Contact me, John or any other member of the Board to let us know if you are interested in taking the position.

Our next reunion is in Sacramento, California (September 21 – September 24 2012. That is a Friday thru Monday). Phyllis and I will be the coordinators and hosts for the 15th Reunion. The bar has been raised and we hope to provide and fun and enjoyable time. Sacramento in September is beautiful and we look forward to a large turnout! There will be more information to follow.

Phyllis and I wish everyone a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving!
